Children's Orchestra in Chicago

Chicago Youth Orchestra for young artists

The children's orchestra in Lincoln Square is for the advancing intermediate string players ready to begin a string ensemble in Chicago. Being a member of this youth orchestra in Chicago will enhance note recognition and sight reading, provide experience with conductors and learning to be a part of an ensemble rather than a soloist, all while learning new and exciting repertoire. There is space for Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass and Harp in the ensemble. Young artists are required to have a working knowledge of their instrument and be able to efficiently read music.

Weekly rehearsals are Thursday afternoons from 4:30 to 5:30 at Queen of Angels Parish Center, located at 4412 N. Western Avenue, Chicago, IL 60625
